(12/26/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Nine Inch Nails is set to release a live CD and DVD, And All That Could Have Been, on January 22. LAUNCH asked NIN mastermind Trent Reznor if the September 11 terror attacks makes this holiday season more meaningful when it comes to family and friends.

"If there's any good that can come out of an atrocity such as this I'm sure everybody's noticed...I've heard from people that I rarely hear from, my family calls me regularly, and I call them. Friends that I might talk to once a year, or run into… There's a compassion and there's a sense of unity where people kind of realizing that a lot of this petty nonsense that you get caught up in it...I certainly would get caught up in the slightest of details about things that really doesn't mean that much. Sometimes it's good to be grounded."

"I have noticed that it brings people to be more focused on life, and the frailty, the fragility of the whole human experience," said Reznor.
